I've got it too. It runs on my crappy laptop but i get that xfire block when i try to play it on the gaming desktop. I'm reinstalling neo steam in case it's a bad update or something.

Same problem... can't find a way to fix it... Are you using windows 7? I'm using Windows 7 RC build 7100 x64. I played NS about 3-4 times before open beta closed and had no issues. Today is launch day and I am also having the error in the screenshot above. Going to try a reinstall in a few, if it works I'll post it, but if it doesn't, I'll be watchin from the sidelines.......... |

Same here w/ Windows 7 RC1 x64 build 7100. Worked during beta, but as soon as I updated to Full release, X Trap stopped working? Anyone found a way to fix this?

I'm a windows 7 x64 build 7201 user. Idk i think it's a bad update with xtrap. It seems to be hitting 7 the most though. It's probably one of those things that happen. Like for example way back when in asda story their version of gayguard would just completely kill all other programs using the internet. Nothing else could run with it. Firefox, Pidgin, any ims anything. The same happened with Rappelz. Seems to be one of those. Ah you koreans and your "anti-hacking tools" when will they learn. Xtrap didi work great for me before though.
Also everyone on here cards? What graphics cards are we all using who're getting this error? I'm on a nvidia GeForce 9800M GS. We all on nvidia cards? Or you sir you on the Ati i ask since you said AMD normally AMD/Ati is the combo as it's normally Intel/Nvidia. Win7 x86 and didnt get the error, so it must be a 64 bit issue, thats why no one uses x64

I'm getting the same error.
Running Windows 7 RC x64 with a ATI Radeon X1600, so i don' think its nvidia. If its the fact that I'm running 64 bit, then blurgh. |

Since the game ran fine before, I'm sure its just a matter of time till another patch to fix this. But like you said (rappelz, ugh) it could be program incompatibility THANKS to the people running x86 letting us know you have no issues. |

Windows 7 x86, same problem. Reinstall wont fix it, also tried running it without antivirus without luck.
Anyone who's had this problem has been able to fix it? how? BTW, it ran with no problem on both beta stages. This post has been edited by Havoc: Jun 11 2009, 03:26 PM |

now that im thinking, a different perspective!
The one person who's reporting this on XP has MCE, which comes with win7 automatically, perhaps check into that as well, although my MC is installed, and not running, wasn't there an issue with the MC remote before? -------------------- ![]() |

Alright, i got mine working. i just started uninstalling every game-related program I had and it finally started up when I removed all the video recording software like frapps and 3dgear.
I doubt this will help you windows 7 people. -------------------- |

I doubt this will help you windows 7 people. I dont suppose you noticed WHICH it was, did you? How to troubleshot! 1. Uninstall things one by one 2. Check after each one 3. Tell us which one remedied the problem after it was uninstalled Then mods can have the trouble shot -------------------- ![]() |
