Posted 20 October 2009 - 08:03 AM
The tournament will take on October 22, 2009 at 5:00 PM PST.
Please follow the guidelines below and post all entries here.
Sign up Restrictions:
Teams have 5 power slots to work with to make a party. Each class is worth a certain amount of slots:
3 slots: Animators/Evokers
2 slots: Sorcerers/Arcanists, All Warriors
1 slot: All Machinist Classes, All Scout Classes
The complete party can have no more than 3 people and only be equal to or less than 5 slots. All party members level average must be between level 80-90.
All players above level 99 will take up 2 additional power slots to their class’s value. (e.g A level 10x warrior is worth 4 power slots instead of 2) but the party's average level must still be between levels 80-90.
Only players level 70 and above may enter.
Sign-ups come in at a first come first serve basis. Only 8 Teams will be allowed in.
How do I sign up?:
Fill out field just as I have below.
Party List :
[Character Name] – [Job Class]
[Character Name] – [Job Class]
[Character Name] – [Job Class]
Average Party Lv: 87
Backup Team members:
[Character Name] – [Job Class]
Nation: Elerd or Rogwel
Rules:
1. To have an eligible entry, the team party’s average level must be between levels 80-90 and have a party that’s equal to or less than 5 power slots.
2. The same character cannot be in multiple parties for this event.
3. If a team member is unable to attend the tournament, a character from the “Backup Team members” will be allowed to enter, just so as long as the newly assembled team fits within the tournament restrictions. (equal to or less than 5 power slots, average party level between 80-90)
4. While in the arena, no reviving allowed.
5. The battle ends when all the members of a party are defeated.
6. Anyone teleporting help in will be disqualified (Team Forfeits)
7. If a winner is not declared at the end of 5 minutes, the GM will set up the match for “Sudden Death”.
(no tames, summons, or pets)
7a. If a pet, summon, or tame is brought out during “Sudden Death”, it’s up to GM discretion on what proper actions to take.
Event Layout:
1. The names of the fighters are announced. When the announcer asks if they’re ready, players either say “yes” or ask for additional time for skill and core cooldown.
2. When all players are ready, they’ll be teleported into the ring, where they will be partied with a GM to ensure no outside help.
3. Ready…
GO!
4. If 5 minutes pass and there are people still conscious, the match will be stopped, and the teams will go to their respective corners to prepare for “Sudden Death.” Anyone who is knocked out before the match is stopped can’t be revived.
4a. If a player is knocked out after the match is stopped, depending on the circumstances, they’ll be allowed to respawn and be brought back into the ring.
4b. After players have unsummoned their pets, tames, or summons, the announcer says:
Ready…
GO!
5. The players duke it out until only one team is left standing.
6. The winner is announced and will use their pet’s Town Portal skill to exit the arena for the next match up. The GM’s party will be emptied out to make room for the next contenders. Back to step 1.

Either this rule is modified:
The whole party’s average level must be between the 80-90 range and all party members must be between levels 70-99.
Or this rule is added:
All players above level 99 will take up 2 additional power slots to their class’s value. (e.g A level 10x warrior is worth 4 power slots instead of 2)
Which one of these is being implemented?

3 slots: Animators/Evokers
2 slots: Sorcerers/Arcanists, All Warriors
1 slot: All Machinist Classes, All Scout Classes
Isnt this admitting that some classes are underpowered?

2. 1 ani/evo (3) + 1 warrior (2) = 2 people, 5 slots.
3. 1 ani/evo (3) + 1 machinist (1) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.

7. 1 sorc/arc (2) + 1 warrior (2) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
8. 2 warriors (4) + 1 machinist (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
9. 2 warriors (4) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
10. 1 ani/evo (3) + 2 machinist (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
11. 1 ani/evo (3) + 2 scout (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
12. 1 sorc/arc (2) + 1 machinist (1) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 4 slots.
13. 1 warrior (2) + 1 machinist (1) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 4 slots.
14. 3 machinists (3) = 3 people, 3 slots.
15. 3 scouts (3) = 3 people, 3 slots.
16. 2 machinists (2) + 1 scout (1) = 3 people, 3 slots.
17. 2 scouts (2) + 1 machinist (1) = 3 people, 3 slots.
(these are ONLY the ones that MAX OUT either the # of people, or the # of slots)
Including the player > 99 rule, these choices are also available:
<99 players:
3 slots: Animators/Evokers
2 slots: Sorcerers/Arcanists, All Warriors
1 slot: All Machinist Classes, All Scout Classes
>99 players:
5 slots: Animators/Evokers
4 slots: Sorcerers/Arcanists, All Warriors
3 slots: All Machinist Classes, All Scout Classes
(Due to the +2 power slot rule.)
18. 1 >99 sorc/arc (4) + 1 <99 machinist (1) = 2 people, 5 slots.
19. 1 >99 sorc/arc (4) + 1 <99 scout (1) = 2 people, 5 slots.
20. 1 >99 warrior (4) + 1 <99 machinist (1) = 2 people, 5 slots.
21. 1 >99 warrior (4) + 1 <99 scout (1) = 2 people, 5 slots.
22. 2 >99 scouts (4) + 1 <99 machinist (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
23. 2 >99 scouts (4) + 1 <99 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
24. 1 >99 machinist (3) + 1 <99 machinist (1) + 1 <99 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
25. 1 >99 scout (3) + 1 <99 machinist (1) + 1 <99 scout (1) = 3 people, 5 slots.
26. 1 >99 scout (3) + 2 <99 machinists (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
27. 1 >99 scout (3) + 2 <99 scouts (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
28. 1 >99 machinist (3) + 2 <99 machinists (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
29. 1 >99 machinist (3) + 2 <99 scouts (2) = 3 people, 5 slots.
30. 1 >99 machinist (3) + 1 <99 warrior (2) = 2 people, 5 slots.
31. 1 >99 scout (3) + 1 <99 warrior (2) = 2 people, 5 slots.
32. 1 >99 evoker/animator (5) = 1 person, 5 slots.
once again, these are ONLY the ones that MAX OUT either the # of people, or the # of slots. [minus the last two, which i put in because of the >99 rule.] If i missed any, my bad.
Also, the average level rule would still apply. so the <99 character would have to be pretty low.

It's +2 not x2, "2 additional slots"

fixed, error on my part.
Also, Wheat, are >99 players going to be permitted or not?
Or is it a:
"If you wish to have a >99 player in your team, you must add 2 power slots to that class."

If you have a player on your team level 100+, they will automatically cost 2 more power slots.

Originally, lvl 100 Summoners would have been forbidden, as a Lvl100 Summoner would take all 5 power slots and make it impossible to lower the average to 70-99
If it's either a Lvl 100 OR a Lvl 70-99 team, then a summoner could go in alone.
Also, thanks to the summoner's new CD, you'd better make it clear whether there's going to be a wait between matches or not, because they'll all need a few minutes to resummon properly

I still think that the 100+ summoners will get pwned. ESPECIALLY if they make it so Grandmaster skills aren't allowed. Also, why would they let a summoner enter by themselves when it's a GROUP TOURNAMENT. In other words, not in a group, can't participate. Or at least, that's what the title of it gives the impression of.

Also, technically, the summoner cant go alone because the average party level will be the level one the summoner, since there is no other people to drag the average level down

Exactly. Thus the 100+ summoners shouldn't be allowed to participate. Sucks for them, really.

*hits with hammer*
A 100+ animator enter alone? Are you ****ing crazy? You WANT us to die against that person because of the Grandmaster skills? I certainly don't, since the Grandmaster skills make a person OP against lower levels.

I think anyone over 99 shouldn't be allowed, Grandmaster skills just too strong compared to regular skills... :x
