Primary Function

In an effort to provide a superior online gaming experience, the Game Master facilitates in-game events and services, scout for exploits, and maintain active knowledge of in-game issues for one of our Massively Multi-player Online Games (MMOG).

As the direct link between Atlus U.S.A. and its customer base, the Game Master is responsible for providing the official line of online customer support to our gamers through a primarily e-mail-based system. The Game Master works in a fast paced environment and must be able to accurately resolve a high volume of issues in a fun and dynamic atmosphere.

 

Position Details

All applicants must live locally in the Orange County/Los Angeles area and have a flexible schedule with the ability to work both weekday and weeknights.

Responsibilities

Assistant Manager of Service Operations

· Responsible for handling customer inquires via our customer relations management (CRM) application

· Clearly document customer issues
· Develop and maintain positive customer relations via in-game chat and through e-mail
· Organize and execute in-game events with appropriate documentation
· Monitor game servers to ensure stability and fair game play
· Communicate with Game Master Lead to evaluate in-game community satisfaction and customer support issues

· Keep abreast of the community “pulse” and make design and marketing recommendations to drive revenue based on these observations

· Represent Atlus U.S.A. to an online game community

· Execute and document scripted in-game events

· Resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently

 

Minimum Qualifications

· At least 1 year experience in a customer service role

· Solid understanding of video games and issues idiosyncratic to the gaming industry

· Desire ability to provide excellent customer service

· Ability to work under pressure

· Ability to work under minimal supervision, both independently and as a member of a team

· Familiarity with Windows based computer systems, including basic knowledge of Office Suites

· Team player with a positive attitude

· Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills

· Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime hours

· Educational Requirements: High school Diploma or GED

 

Additional Positive Considerations

· Previous experience in video game customer support

· Previous experience supporting online games

· Fluent in any other of the following languages: Turkish, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish
